Introducing One More Time A Carpenters Tribute CD by Jenny Sinclair.
Due to the number of enquiries on the website at www.carpenterstribute.com about Jenny releasing a Carpenters Tribute CD she decided to make one available to those fans. Jenny Sinclair is very proud and pleased to announce the release of her Carpenters Tribute CD "One More Time". A lot of voice study and development has gone into the recording of this album. In Jenny’s own words..."I have had a great love of the Carpenter’s music for many years and I was brought up on their wonderful songs by my late mother Mavis who use to play their records constantly! They were one of her favourite bands of all time.Richard Carpenter is an undeniable genius as a producer, arranger and songwriter. Together, Karen and Richard Carpenter were an incredible team giving total dedication and one hundred percent precision in all that they did. Karen Carpenter was an extraordinary soul who touched this earth so deeply with her irreplaceable talent. She had a voice of an angel and was able to reach into the hearts of those that heard her sing. It goes without saying that as a tribute artist one could never measure up to the irreplaceable talent of the late great Karen Carpenter. She truly was a very beautiful soul and I feel so very proud and privileged to be on stage paying tribute to her wonderful work. As a tribute artist I do the very best I can with the instrument I have been given. Studying Karen’s great talent has been an absolute pleasure and a also a lot of hard work! But it has also helped me enormously in my own voice development. I have chosen to record the songs that are on this tribute CD because I was particularly drawn to each one of them for their own reasons. I have treated all of these recordings with the greatest respect, with love and from my heart centre". Jenny Sinclair as a Singer/SongwriterJenny Sinclair thoroughly enjoys performing as a Karen Carpenter tribute artist but primarily she is best known as a singer/songwriter in her own right. In Jenny’s own words..."I wanted to include one of my own original songs on this tribute album as a way of introducing myself to the fans. I am very proud of my song "Sweet Child of Mine" and I wanted to include this on my tribute album so people could get to know me and what I am about.Ironically, when I was in Nashville Tennessee a few years ago before I was performing as a tribute artist it was when I sang my own song "Sweet Child of Mine" that people referred to me as having a voice that reminded them of Karen Carpenter, which was one of the contributing factors to me forming the "Carpenters Magic" tribute show. I am extremely proud of this tribute CD and I am most grateful and thankful to all those people who have supported and encouraged me and helped to make this CD possible". Photo left: Jenny Sinclair with her son Mickey copyright 2004 Kent Messenger Group. Jenny's songwriting abilities were inspired by her own son Mickey who was born disabled with Cerebral Palsy. Through this experience Jenny felt the need to write a song about a mother's love for her child, this is entitled Sweet Child of Mine. Jenny's co writer on "Sweet Child of Mine" is John Springate. John has had much success in the past and was a co- writer for the track "Don't Play That Song Again" - Eurovision entry for The United Kingdom in 2000. "Sweet Child of Mine" was re-recorded in July 2004 for Jenny’s Carpenters Tribute album One More Time Jenny’s Message with "Sweet Child of Mine"..... I wrote the song "Sweet Child of Mine" about my own son Mickey who has Cerebral Palsy. The message that I am trying to give is that although he is disabled in my eyes he's perfect, and the words are simply about a mothers love for her child. Mickey has come to deliver a great message to this world and that is to remind those that have forgotten the beauty of unconditional love. Mickey is a special soul and a great teacher to me. I feel very lucky to have him as my son." "Sweet Child of Mine" has already proved to be a great success. It acts as a theme tune to a number of Special Needs Schools, it is also the theme tune to the charity Cerebral Palsy Care www.cerebralpalsycare.co.uk and was also used as a theme tune to the Special Olympics. In Jenny’s own words..... I am extremely proud of my son Mickey and of my song Sweet Child of Mine it is such a great honour and a pleasure to be able to help and support various charities and it is also such an honour to be able to help bring a little light into someone’s heart with "Sweet Child of Mine", as a songwriter it is the greatest compliment I can receive |
