"Music and Laughter at The Carpenters Tribute Night"
On a freezing evening, it was a relief to arrive at the concert. Jenny Sinclair really
does sound like Karen Carpenter. her singing took me back to the 70's, a case of
"Yesterday Once More". the songs cover a wide spectrum of emotion, from the sadness of
"End of the World" to the sheer exuberance
of "Jambalaya". Jenny also sang "Sweet Child of Mine" which she wrote in honour of her
own son who has cerebral palsy and is a former pupil of our Learning Center. Dave Lee
provided the comedy, which we all enjoyed, even though he took the mickey out of a certain
gent, who I thought was very sporting about it. His act was very funny without being "blue",
whats more the evening made a profit of £655.00
